Minimum Downgrade Version Check PS3 [CECH-2500]

MinVerChk 

  What you need:
- A working PS3 slim.
- USB flash drive.
- MinVerChk file

 

1. Transfer the MinVerChk file to a USB flash drive, as if it were an upgrade (e.g. x:/PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP).
2. Insert the USB flash drive into the PS3.
3. Install the update from XMB (This will fail and display the Firmware Base).
After running the tool if it says your base firmware is 3.55 or below then you can downgrade.

PS3's PUP Syscon Changer [aka PPSC] was developed a long time ago from a request because someone was stuck in a CFW and could not get out of it with this tool could fix it and from that day I took it out for everyone This tool changes Syscon the value of a PUP file to a higher or lower value (higher recommended), you can select it, and then install it from the Recovery. A brief example to serve this tool is to install a CFW on 3.55 CFW 

4.XX once it has been patched, or another example is for PUP downgraders as there is right now is easy, just keep on these steps:

• Select the PUP with button Open (...)

• Selects the value of Syscon (From 0.00 to 9.99)

• Select the value of Image version (From 00000-99999) (If you want to use the value of the PUP, do not change this box)

•Click Start

• Wait until it finishes

If all went well you'll see a file called NEW-PS3UPDAT.PUP , rename it to PS3UPDAT.PUP , copy it to a USB device and install it from the Recovery Remember, this is ONLY AND NOT FOR OFW CFW , can not install CFW on OFW 3.56.

The actual RSoD fix occurs by the VTRM area on flash being rewritten.
The ability to do this is already built into the firmware, it just needs to be called.

Remarry 3.55

 

1. Have the console on a working 3.55 firmware

 

2. Download the Remarry files (remarry-3.55.rar) and unpack to root of USM Mass Storage device.The following line is already changed from 1 to 0:

This will make sure the drive init PUP is not installed, thus preventing RLOD because of syscon hashes on downgraded consoles.
